Windows was unable to format

Hello,
i have windows vista which I am bot able to burn the E: drive(DVD) syastem replies with the message - windows was unable to format.
I even installed service pack1 for viesta still the problem persists

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi,
check if you have the correct driver for the DVD drive.
if yes, then you need to update the firmware.
