Laptop turns off by it self

Hello,
I hae a Toshiba Satellite A215-S4747 laptop. It has a cd/dvd burner installed in it. I have burned a few dvds. Lately when I start to burn a dvd it shuts off by itself and it doesn't turn it self back on. Just recently I had to crash my laptop because for some reason my cd/dvd drivers were some how corrupted or missing. Once I got it back up and going it was fine but when I started to burn a dvd it turned itself off and it didn't come back on. I had to wait about a minnute or two then I turned it on.

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi,
I have a problem with my Laptop. It gets switched off automatically during net browsing, web cam. Let me know what could be the reason and how can it be solved. My Laptop is Dell Inspiron 3600.
