Hello,

I have a new SSD hard disk that I want to install in my laptop Vaio TZ. The bios detects the hard drive in the master slot, but whenever I try to install Windows XP, the OS cannot detect the hard drive. I also tried to install Ubuntu. It did not work. Since it is SSD, there is no USB enclosure in the market now. So there is no way to clone the SSD. Any suggestion ?

Sorry, what I am talking about is SSD, not SD card (secure digital). SSD is solid state drive that is much faster than hdd. I also already tried to look for enclosure case to connect SSD via USB, but there is no such thing in market now. There are USBs for HDD.

Hey there, lol.
Um, i'm guessing that the interface that those OS's work on doesn't support SSD's. Vista should, and so should Mac if you swing that way ( i do not ). Glad to hear that somebody is spending their money on high performance goods, i will once i get the cash to. Just don't use your awesome hardware on outdated OS's.
Cheers, and good luck
