Hello,

i'm unable to hear anything while playing movies or songs in my laptop. I tried checking the if there was any error in the sound device by going to control panel - systems - hardware - device manager - sound, video and game controller, found a yellow sign on conexant high definition audio venice and cleared the same. but still unable to hear. While the system starts it does not throw any error message aswell. While playing a movie, an error is coming up - "Windows Media Player was not closed properly. A damaged or incompatible plug-in may have caused the problem to occur. As a precaution, all third-party plug-ins have been disabled." Please help me regain the volume for my laptop.

Thanks

Configuration: Windows XP
Safari 525.19

Hi i think you should go to the control panel by clicking on the start button, then look at the left side of your screen you will see a control panel heading with a subtopic 'switch to clasic view'.Under it is the 'see also'.And under the 'see also' click the 'help and support' and ther will be topics displayed on your screen.Go to 'pick a task' and then click on the 'undo changes to your computer with system restore'.Then allow your pc to do it's work.
