Hello,
Windows vista stopped booting tried to system recovery but didn't work. tried to reinstall windows now it says computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu. If somebody has any thoughts what to do it would be helpful.

Gary

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.5

Hi,
check if it enabled in bios.
press F2 repeatedly when starting the computer to enter the bios settings.
or you can try to boot in safe mode and then try a system restore to set your computer settings to a period when these problems were not yet encountered.
press F8 repeatedly to enter boot menu and then select safe mode.
for system restore:
>start
>accessories
>system tools
>system restore
then follow the wizard and select a date when everything was working fine.
