Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Hello,
1. i cant get into hotmail error -Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage this also happens with facebook applications or msn.

using xp
and ie 8.

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Yes can get into yahoo, the problem seems to be on my hotmail and facebook.

It will open the first page of lets say msn when i click for eg hotmail i get the Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.

1) click Tools > Internet Options > Delete...
2) uncheck Preserve Favorites
3) check Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, and History and click Delete
4) when finished, click OK, close Internet Explorer, and then open it again

In Internet Explorer go to tools, then hit internet options.
Find the program tab and hit it. Then find E-mail roll it to Windown Live Hotmail, then Hit Apply at the bottom.
Whoooooo Hooooo it is fixed. No thanks to Bill Gates and his crew of half wits.

You now have your Hotmail back. (o;
