Sound Not Comming on Sony VGN-NR185E

Hello,
I have bought Sony VGN-NR185E laptop in which visa comes by default.When i install XP, initially sound comes in speaker when i watch some movies suddenly sound disppears from speaker. Driver is working properly. I reinstall window and again sound comes but when i put flash disk and watch movie suddenly sound disappears is it virus or what is the problem does anybody has the solution.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.8
