Desktop icon and start menue disappear

Hello,
sir , some times in my computer all desktop ,including starrt menue is disappeare............... i could,t understand becaz if i will restart my pc it is ok ,i hav windows xp ,i hav scaned my pc with NOD32i ,and changed my profile by new one but no change,,,,,,,??????????

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 8.0

Hi,
press Ctrl+Shift+Del to go to task manager.
select New task, type explorer and click OK.
this should fix your problem.

Maybe you are having problems with explorer.exe when this arrives... open your task manager, hit run and write "explorer" in it.

Hy, I have a Windows XP and I solve this problem in this way:

Enter in display properties wint right click on the mouse.

Then enter in settings you will see two monitor,

Enter in monitor 2 and unchek "extend my windows desktop onto in this monitor"

Then start menu is showing

Hi
While on the desktop, right click, highlight 'Arrange icons by' > then click on 'Desktop icons'
This should fix the issue
