try this:
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

Hi
I have the same problem restart on shut down. I disabled Auto restart but no luck. However as I was doing a fresh install I noticed it only happened after I installed the Lan Driver. Wake up on Lan is disabled in Bios.
I went into the Device drivers and selected the Network Driver Propterty and then Advance. I noticed that this also had wake on Lan. I set to disable and yes it is now ok.
It is worth a look
