Avira won't download updates on USER accounts

Hello,
I am installing Avira on computers in a school. When I try to update the virus definitions I get an error, but if I switch to an account with administrative privileges the update downloads the files. What do I need to check to make auto updates work for non-administrative accounts?

Configuration: Windows 2000
Firefox (latest build)
