I have an external modem and use virgenmedia broadband. I was given a netgear router as I wanted to go wireless so I could connect me games console and iphone to the internet however after I connected up the router and found the network on my iphone I couldn't get it to work. I entered in the password provided but I could not gain access to the network. The router came with no instruction manual or software so I'm not even sure I've done the right things to create my network! Can anyone help...it's driving me crazy!

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.8

I hope that you have solved thgis by now but if not, go to settings, general, about, then wifi address. Add this number to the mac address within the router using 192.168.X.X. This step should allow the iphone and wireless router to communicate.
