Hello,

I have just got all the bits for a new computer sent to me:

Asus P5E3 Motherboard
1000GB WD HDD Caviar Green 32Mb Cache SATA
8GB Corsair DDR3 1333Mhz Memory
Asus EAH4850 Graphics Card PCI-E
Thermaltake Armour MX Case
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
2 LG SATA DVD Disc Drives
1000WATT Hyena PSU

VISTA ULTIMATE 64BIT was the plan for this machine.

So i put it all together and followed the motherboard manual and so on, used static wrist straps laid the components on bubble wrap. Plugged everything up. Plugged it into the power, plugged the keyboard and mouse also the screen in. Started up.

The screen just says PLEASE CHECK SIGNAL CABLE and its in properly, the card is properly inserted.
The case has no speaker built in for the boot beeps so im suspecting thats why i don't hear and beeping, the keyboards Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock LED's should light up, but they don't the keyboard doesnt get any signal at all.

I have tried EVERYTHING! and nothing works, could someone perhaps come up with a solution, or maybe tell me what the issue might be. i.e. the motherboard?, everything is NEW! and it cost me 2800NZD to set the thing up without monitor and the rest.

AND I CAN'T EVEN GET INTO THE BIOS AT ALL ABSOLUTELY NOTHING COMES ON THE SCREEN AT ALL! NO POST MESSAGES WHAT SO EVER!

hope someone can help :(

Try to boot whitout dvd floppy and hdd if it works
you have to replace them whit new ones
if not replace the CPU and RAM
good luck- (if you have a onboard vid. card use that one)
