Mac download Sims 2

Hello,
So I downloaded the sims 2 for mac off a website on the net on my laptop and i was gettin real excited. Then i had to install so i read the agreements and stuff and clicked ok. So it asked for me to select a destination so i did I selected Macintosh HD and clicked countine but no sofware was found then it said please choose other location and i've checked everywere and i dont know what to do please help please !!! THANKS!!!

That's probably because you didn't download the actual game. This happened to me too, and I found that what I thought was the game was really just an update for it. So it keeps telling me that I have no software to use it on.

The same thing happened to me.. i was not able to download the Sims 2, i hope someone has an answer to my problem.. well for me the best answer to our problems are we should really wait for someone who is smart enough to solve it... i hope there is a way to download them for free

Hey. have you tried clicking on the sims 2 folder when you open up your hardrive?? like there's one that shows the logo, then another one that just says sims 2 underneath a regular folder.... try that. then you click on the logo one within that plain folder.

Okay, so the problem most likely happened because you were trying to either download a "free demo" or you were downloading a "patch" and for those of you unfamiliar with "patches" they are sent out by ASPYR media, on of the different media companies behind The Sims™. Patches are used to fix a problem on a already existing game. My best advice would be to go to a store and buy the game, and install it like the directions say to. Or oyu can download the game from http://www.thesims2.ea.com where you click on PC games and then go to download when you find the right one.

Remember that you MUST already have The Sims 2 downloaded on your computer before you start downloading expansion packs like Pets and Seasons etc..

Hey! i need come helo. i went to the EA.com store. i was going to download the new Sims 3. i have a Mac and i accidentally downloaded it for a PC. is there anyway to change that without paying another 50 bucks and downloading it again??? thanks.
