Have video but no audio

Hello, I can get the video games to play but there is no sound. The sound works with skype and other pc operations. It was working one day and not the next. Cannot play an audio cd either. Have altec lansing speaker system. Have updated drivers and sound card.

Hi,
try to do a system restore to set your computer to the date when everything was working fine.
this will bring back the sound.
