Hello,

Hi,
try to change the port to see if it works.
try to use another cable, you may also plug the card reader in another computyer to see if it does the same.
if yes, then you will need to get another card reader.

I just had the same problem - I have a Mac. I have some corrupt files on my Memory Stick and my computer would not recognize it at all. I have an older Mac running OS9 and when I plugged the stick reader into it I had no problem reading it at all.

I am not sure why - but I tried 3 different computers before pulling out my old laptop as a last ditch effort. Anyway - it worked.

Yes. same problem. mac here as well.. though my "older" mac that does read the reader is not so old... it's a white imac with os 10.4 (maybe 10.3?). on a newer ibook running os 10.57, the reader shows up but gives me errors when i try to transfer data. also, it changes the permissions for the stick after those errors pop up, from "you can read and write" to "you have custom priviledges". custom is right.... what a crock. can't seem to find anything about this. anyone?
