"I hope that's specific enough!" Sure it is. You apparently deleted the sound drivers so they will have to be reinstalled. We can't help you much with that because we have no idea what soundcard (or integrated sound chip) you have. If you post the make/model of your computer, someone *should* be able to help you. Otherwise, you'll have to try a software progarm such as SIW to help you identify your hardware |
i had the same problem (wasnt really a problem just a hassle) when reinstalling windows... the fix is to restart computer and hit DEL.
When a new menu appears hit sound devices then it will say the make/model of ur sound device and now u wil need to copy this information down on a peice of paper as you will need to download appropriate sound drivers for it. exit menu (without saving) and restart computer. Once Windeos has finished loading up hop onto google and write down what you wrote for the sound device name (make sure you have the all of the sound device information down onto google.) hit download somwhere on the site you get a valid hit for the sound device install and reboot and u got sound.
