Hello,
I'm recently having computer problems and it has been going on for almost a month now. Last month, my CD Drive would not open, as in it doesn't have a green light when my PC is open (Like one day, I opened it, it doesn't work anymore!). I pried the tray open using a clip and it opened, no CD inside. I had the insides checked by a friend, he checked the cables, he says there isn't any problem with the cables. Windows detects this CD Drive is installed and when I double click it, it says, "Please insert a disk into HD DVD-ROM Drive (E:)."
Second problem is that my PC shuts down automatically when I watch videos from YouTube, Viddler, etc. for a whole minute. So when I watch videos, I only watch it for a whole minute, pause, watch it again after 30 seconds until I finish the video. This only goes for online videos. Streaming music from websites is fine, it's also fine when I watch movies on my PC and listen to music. It just goes haywire for the online videos. Even playing games like Civilization IV is fine! Now what is the problem? I recently got a CMOS battery failure (my time is not right but my date is or else I can't enter some websites. When I try to set the time correctly, it shuts down after a few minutes) does it have something to do with that?
I know I have like a list of problems LOL but it would be great if you guys can help me! I only know little about computers.
I have an Acer Aspire T660, I use Firefox mostly, sometimes Opera, Safari and Maxthon. I run on Windows Vista Home 32.
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.7
