Audio driver problem

Hello,
i have istalled ubuntu 8.10. inmy laptop. when i try to play mp3 songs it plays very slowly . but video files have played correctly.i think it should be audio driver problem.songs are played well in windows xp. please help me.

Configuration: Linux
Firefox 3.0.7
