Windows folder wrong size

Hello,


My laptop is reporting that the windows folder is 23Gb, but when I select all files inside the windows, including hidden files, it totals 4GB.

Is this caused by slack from files growing and shrinking?

What can I do to resolve it?

I wonder how you are selecting "all files" and whether you are including sub-folders.

Try this - open the Windows folder and single left click any file so that it is highlighted. Now press Ctrl key + A and they should all highlight. Right click any one, select Properties and see what the total size is in GB.

Where exactly is it saying there is 23GB?
It sounds rather a lot to me.

I am also having the same problem, and when I go inside the windows folder the complete size is WAY smaller???

I am sure i am selecting all the files and even did it the way mentioned above. The difference in mine is 168GB!!!!!
