Dns probe finished no internet

Hello, I have read and tried almost all things to fix this and nothing seems to be working. I tried the netsh winsock thing and unplugging my modem and changing the IP number stuff. I have a dell inspiron core i7 laptop windows 8. please help me. thank you

Did you call Comcast to verify that you get a signal?

yes I've called. my internet works on cell phones and other devices. and they said its my laptop, not the Internet. but I think it's my modem. probably gone bad

It's probably the computer. You can try this:

go to START and Run and type in the following commands:
cmd (enter)

c:\netsh winsock reset (enter)

remember restart your computer
