Urgent !! How to recover my deleted files

Hello,
i deleted files by mistake this morning ,are important documents ,please help if there is a way to recover the deleted files, i m using ubuntu 8.10

I don't think it's possible to recover your files from your bin in ubuntu.

You are dead right! "i think" should be the warning signal, also "the way it worked for me" is often clumsy
and perhaps dangerous. Just lost my hard drive by following some clown's advice on formatting a USB drive.

It sometimes happen that you delete some important files unknowingly.
Sometimes when you start your clean up work on your computer by starting removing unnecessary files, you unknowingly delete those files even from your recycle bin and after sometime you realize that you have done something wrong, and want those files back ?
What to do ? How to recover those files ?
