How to send powerpoint presentation with musi

Hello,
I've created several slideshows and am eager to send them to my friends, but after trying to follow numerous instructions and saving the shows in pps., ppt., webarchive etc etc I managed to send them but music would not play... What went wrong and how to save powerpoint presentation with music so that to be able to send it by e-mail?

IF you use PowerPoint 2003, try this way:
1. Goto File Menu, choose Package for CD...
2. Click Copy to Folder... button
3. Enter the folder name
4. Enter the location
5. click ok.
It will save all related file into the folder. and you can zip the folder and send it your friends.

If you use PowerPoint 2007, try this way:
1. click the Microsoft Office Button, point to Publish, and then click Package for CD.
2. Follow the above step (2 to 5).

May be you can advice me in following:
I recieve a lot of slide-shows with music in pps, but what I am getting when saving my slideshow according to your advice is a file in exe. And my e-mail box refuses to send this extention "protecting my addressee and myself"
So the question is - how to save slideshow in pps - with music ?
