Hi,
open iTunes go to >> Edit > Preferences > Advanced Tab --- within this is a general tab and this is the location of your current iTunes music folder location.
Once you know where these files are, you can close iTunes and open WMP - press <F3> to search in the location of the iTunes stored music. Now you have two applications using one source of files.
you may copy the music from there if you want.

It is not complicated. i am 12 and i can do it. put the cd you have burnt the songs on to in to th comp. when it has loaded the itunes will open up but you do not need that so just open your windows media player and look under RIP. it will be there and tick all the song option boxes and press start rip and once it has ripped all the songs you will have them in your windows library. bye and good luck. x !

Hi I had to laugh when you said, "It's simple. I'm twelve and I can do it." I'm 56 and I really admire how smart you kids are. Thanks for your help.

If the music from limewire is in MP3 , WAV or AAC format , it is OK to transfer.

But most of the music I got from limewire was in WMA format, then you have to convert them into iTuens compatible formats

Besides, there is sth iTunes folks might like to know:

Apple has "fair play" DRM system, the iTunes music with .m4p extension, audio book with .m4b extension, and video/movie with .m4v extesion are all DRM wrapped.

Napster and other online stores like Rhapsody, Amazon Unbox, Blockbuster, CinemaNow etc use Windows Media "plays for sure" DRM system, music or movie downloaded there are protected wma or wmv.

Zune Marketplace from Microsoft also provides protected wma and wmv by employing another unique DRM system.

Generally, DRM removal software can help you with it, as they can strip the DRM protection (playback license in fact), convert music or video to various formats that can play on various players.

I know Aimersoft Music Converter and Aimersoft Media Converter are such professional DRM converters, one for music only, another for music and video both.

You can have the free version of them here:
