Hi, i am using this laptop since May 2012. I have found some problems in my laptop recently. It cannot be switched on when the laptop's battery is not put in the laptop. Once i put the laptop's battery in my laptop and pushed the "Power" button, then it can start up again. So, what's wrong with my problem?

Do you have the charger plugged in when you take the battery out and switch on?

Are you certain that the charger works - can you try it in another machine?

I am sure that the charger is in good condition because i bought it for 4 months only. Besides that, my laptop has this kind of problem before i change the charger.

Ok. I have never come accross this before. However, to check the charger is working would be a good idea, but also the power ciruitry in your laptop might have failed. Another test might be to check if the power icon in your notification area changes when you plug it in/out.

The obvious question might be ... Why do you want to take out your battery when plugging the charger in?

Is the charger the correct one for the laptop? some chargers have different voltage/power outputs and while they may be able to trickle charge a battery, they might not have enough power to run it without the help of the battery. Check the voltage requirements of your machine and the voltage supplied by the charger.

You dont say what your machine is. Can you let us know? Also can you let us know the voltage and power ratings as described on the charger?

Im afraid other than this I am out of ideas. Does anyone else have any ideas?

i took out the battery because it is full charge....no one know about it and i have asked the technician to check and repair it but it does not work...
