My cs 1.6 have the fatal error failed to initialize authentication interface.existing... can you help me?

Hi,
this may be due to a file which has been corrupted.
try to get another installation CD.

1. exit steam
2. load steam
3. launch 1.6

if that doesnt work, restart ur computer
^if that doesnt work, re-install 1.6
