Video call to someone using windows live

Hello,
i need help, i bought an acer aspire one and signing into the messenger is fine. i am trying to start a video call with someone using windows live messenger though it is not letting me see them they call only see me. how can i see them on their webcam ??

Hi,
if you cannot see them, this means that they have not properly set their webcam.
contact them and tell them to set it properly.
check if the webcam is working fine.

This is not true. i have set up other persons webcam both in person at their house and via remote assistance and still i have same issue as well. They can see me and their own video but I can not see their video only see my own. their video is X'ed out. So setting up the camera is not the issue as i know i have set it up correctly. It has to be either server or firewall issue and i can't figure it out

We had this problem and rebooted the computer that was having the problems WHILE LEAVING THE CAMERA PLUGGED IN. It seemed to work after that.
