System restore point freezes

Hello,



I want do a system restore point to an earliersetting. The is after I choose the date and then click next, it just does NOT go anywhere like it used to ! I could wait hours, and it still will not re-boot by itself. What could be causing it ?

Is it because I renamed my pc id ?

I have done a virus check and there ar no viruses !
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello


Auto7890, "Is it because I renamed my pc id ?" I'd say yeah. When your machine looks for restore points, it looks for points using the current id rather than the original. Change it back 'till restored then change it again to the new id? That way, all future restore points ought to reflect the new id.
