Hello,
I have purchased a new D-link wireless router. I previously had a D-link router/modem. Do I need to buy a new stand-alone modem?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi,
i don't think that you need to but the modem unless you don't have one in your computer.
but nowadays, almost all computers come with a modem.
check if you have it.
