Hello....i have a dell studio lap top. the webcam is built in and so is all the software. however any time i go to record a video, video chat, or aim talk with someone there is a problem with the sound. they can't hear me. am i supposed to plug a mic in? what do i do??my sound works with everything else i've never had a problem. even when i try to video chat thru aim the other person can't even bring up the video.

Hi,
check in the user's manual to see if the laptop has got an integrated microphone.
if not, then you will need to connect an external mic to be able to talk to people via video chatting.
