No audio\sound device

Hello,no audio\sound device after emachine t3604 vista os crashed.installed hew hard drive with windows xp and now cant find sm bus/orvideo controler.does that have anything 2 do with the sound?tried updating driver and no luck please need sound

Hi,
The Emachine website does not have XP drivers as it comes with Vista preloaded.
This same chipset is used by Gateway with XP drivers.
try this link to download the drivers and see if they can install properly:

When i format my pc from japanese verion to english verion,my pc is no sound, when i test audio, the display is no mixer device found, goto contolpannel and click printer faxes and devices,when i install or add does not found what will i do or what kind of device mixer i install thanks
