Installed xp, now no

Hello! I put XP Pro on my Acer Aspire X1700-U3700A (and it runs much better than with Vista).

Only trouble, the "video controller (VGA compatible)" has disappeared! (This is the description it gives in the device manager). I can play videos from my hard drive (taken on camera etc) and from the Internet, but not DVDs.

I tried download one from the Acer site, but they only have ones for Vista.

Any help you provide will be much appreciated. ( A kind person earlier helped with a similar problem with my audio device)

Hi,
you are not being able to find the xp drivers because the computer comes with Windows Vista pre-loaded.
try this link to find the drivers you lack:
