Hello,

Ok so last night my girlfriend accidentally put my computer in hibernate, she went to fix it but the screen stayed black rather than restart immediately she left it on, therefore the computer had no time to go into standby and was left on all night with the screen closed off.

This morning when I go to open its black and the computer is still on. I have taken several steps to fix the problem but nothing has worked

I restarted, i took out and chaged the battery and power cord. I then tried an external monitor, no luck.

I proceeded to open the computer up and notice that the fan isnt moving when the computer is turned on, i then changed back to my factory memory and hard drive, still no luck.

Basically the computer turns on and the light flashes green and the battery light is on as well, the hard drive makes attempts but the fan doesnt move and nothing happens but a black screen.

Ive tried a lot of things, but looks like either fan issues or motherboard issues. Does anyone have any advice? I keep talking to these techs and they treat me as if I know nothing when I explain to them all ive tried.

The computer is a Sony VIAO vgn-nr110e
Its about 2 years old and upgraded to 2 gb RAM as well as a 320 GB hard drive

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

I used to have a black screen laptop, and i was able to fix it. All u do is take out the fan, clean it, and put it back. then, turn on ur computer for 4hrs and turn it off. The next time u turn it on it shouldnt have a black screen. AND DONT EVER HIBERNATE IT AGAIN!!!
