Slow, lag & dropped FTP xfers

spiderind, on Sunday May 18, 2008 02:27:14 PM
Hello,

I have an organization of 16 Mac computers for graphic design and windows server for other business. We have a T-1 and have begun to see real network problems accessing Internet sites, FTP xfers are being cut off and a lot of lag simply bringing up webpages. Birch claims that the line is fine and nothing has changed in our environment, what is the best way to troubleshoot this issue?
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Hai

First place I'd start would be to check your switches to see if any ports are having an unusual amount of errors and dropped packets. Assuming that you're using managed switches.

Are you using an internal proxy server? If so, check its logs for possible clues/issues.
