Well, you don't staty anything about your current skill set, so stating what you need to be reading/learning os a shot in the dark. But, I'll give you a high-level perspective. You will need a server. Whether this is a dedicated server or a shared server will depend on many factors. How much traffic you will need, security, etc. It will have to have enough storage space to accomodate any users you would have. If the site grew large you would want a dedicated file server for this purpose. To create the application you will need to use some sort of server-side implementation (i.e. programming) such as PHP, ASP, .NET, Python, etc. And you will need to have a database in order to manage all the data. |
