Hi there!

Currently at home i'm running a 802.11n network and getting unto 300Mbps speeds.

However, i've now decided to explore the future of WiFi and explore to faster speeds by looking into purchase a router capable of up to 1.7Gbps speeds (802.11ac).

My Apple devices are capable of 802.11ac and i've ensured a router with ac is also backwards compatible with the standard bgn wireless.

my question is, does anyone recommend a router? has anyone noticed any performance benefits? is it worth me spending a 3 figure sum just to get this ridiculous speed?

I'm aware that my internet speed won't increase, but i may see an improvement in quality when streaming as we have several devices on wireless.

Opinions would be appreciated.

thank you.
