Windows 7 Home Premium repaired, now dvd rom & sound not read

I have just repaired my OS, but now I don't see my DVD rom in "My Computer", and also get sound.

Any one who can assist me?

Make certain you have replaced all of the hardware drivers!

Thanks for the prompt response. I am busy downloading some drivers for the motherboard. I trust it's the right place to start?

Yes, go to the Motherboards website ONLY. That is perfect.

There is also the manufacturer's website unless your PC is a clone.
