Booting Problems

Hello,

I am using this old Platium Plus Data Series computer... as like a old experiment. I'm mainly just using it to experiment on. But I turned it on one day and I play with its BIOS. And then set the BIOS defaults. Then boot it up tO MS-DOS 6.22 and after the memory check and all that stops it doesnt say Starting MS-DOS 6.22....... HIMEM testing extended memory. All it does is this symbol blinks _ .

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello

Apparently it's because you changed the BIOS settings. Defaults are only a starting point (or a fall back point)...they are NEVER 100% correct & are NOT the optimal settings. Go back into the BIOS, check each individual setting & adjust as necessary to best match your hardware configuration.
