Date formatting issue

Hi all.. I copied dates from a Web page in this format 'Fri Jul 25 2014' but I need these dates changed to '25/07/2014'. I have tried most of the date formatting techniques I saw on here but none works for me.
Help please.

You have posted this in an android thread. Is this a spreadsheet problem?

@ac3mark yes it is a spreadsheet problem. I have the problem on my laptop spreadsheet.

OK, try this:
=TEXT(THECELLTOCHECK,"dd/mm/yyyy")
