XP Won't Load Past Welcome Screen

Hello,

I have an Aspire One which has Office XP Preinstalled. It seemed to be working fine (I've had for 3 months now) and then on Monday, 3/2/09, it started having trouble. On Tuesday, it kept giving me an error message and when I tried to log in on Wednesday, it comes to the XP Welcome screen. Once there I try to log on to my user account. For only 1-2 seconds it flashes my background, gives message that it is saving my settings and logs out to the today screen. If I try to log on to either of the 2 other user accounts, it just gives message that it is logging me out. It never tries to access it. It does play the system sound when it does so. I have tried reloading XP. Unsure how to do this so what I did is I placed the disk in the external drive. Went under F12 (boot) and clicked on drive, but it still brought me to the same Today screen with the 3 user names. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Please help!!!

Lmarie

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0
