Flashed Xbox 360 Online ?

Hello, A few months ago I bought an Xbox 360. After 2 weeks I let someone flash it for me.
Now I can play downloaded games. Now I want to play online, with an 'Xbox Life' account.
My question is; can I play with my flashed Xbox online ? Or is there a high chance of getting banned ?

Someone ? All help is useful.

Lol, i want to know the same thing ha, i want to flash my xbox but also want to play online with my friends....will i get caught? However i wont play games that are not supposed to be out yet online, im not stupid lol

U can play them online u need a stealth pacth u will be fine check to see if the game u have got is not a wave 4 or u will need a boot disc and u cant play online on wave 4 at the mo kk

Yes you can flash your xbox and still play live you just need to stealth patch the game before you burn it check on youtube for more info.

Dont chance it mate i was banned using every precaution possible, so did 90% of the people i know. If you gotta do it dont go online. As for Wave 4 if you use any kind of activation disc they will detect you as it disables stealth checks on your xbox. At the end of the day you do what you want , but my advice is think again. With big release titles like cod mw2 and forza 3 about, do you honestly think microshaft are gonna let you play their biggest money pots for free? the answer is NO and pretty soon if not already the people that are advising you that its ok to go online will either be banned or know people who have. Your choice. Hope it helped.

Problem is if u flash it and don't play online then you may as well be banned. Can I flash the console back to normal as it was and not get detected? Or can it tell by your games data? I may have played a French copy of halo early on a mates flashed console too can they detect this? Also after the ban wave is over does that mean it will go back to allowing you online? I'm scared to put it online now just incase gutted as mw2 just came out and i wanted to buy a genuine copy of that cause they've released a few special editions, just don't wanna get it then be banned once I'm online.

They can't check to see if the drive is flashed - they can only check the stealth and whether you are passing the wave 4 check - that is the only way so far they are catching people. The only reason so many got caught recently is because they didn't know about the wave 4 check and ban. If you want to check further refer to this website that will tell you the wave version and the crc checks and hashes that you can use to make sure you game is stealth patched properly. Other than that you should be good. Don't play any new game for a while online so you know you are safe.
