Home Network - XP Home and XP x64

I am having trouble accessing files on my XP Pro x64 machine from my XP Home machine.
They are connected together via a my BT Broadband Router (wired). Both computers can see each other and ping each other. Both are in the same workgoup.
My XP Home computer can see the shares on my XP Pro machine but when you double click on a shared folder I get an access denied message.
My XP Pro computer can access shares on the Home computer.
All the shares I have setup I have granted write access
I have tried changing the Local Policy on my Pro machine to disabled for "Limit local account use of blank passwords to console login only", but no luck.
Any ideas please?

Hello
Did you create a user account on the XP Pro PC for the XP Home PC? If not, do so. Use the exact same credentials (username/password) used to logon to the XP Home PC at bootup. Add the account the ACL's you wish to be able to access. Grant appropriate permissions and then try to connect to them. It should work properly after doing that. |
