Yes this is a major thing going around it drives me nuts!!!!!!!!
I would try and reinstall msn and see what happens, i have never go this so i don't know how to repair it and also try scanning with a spyware virus scan and see what that comes back with. hope it will help you!

This is only a pop-up ! Have you installed a feature for msn ? msn live or something ? this is not a virus, its just a pop up that creates advertising ! ;) no stress |

There's no way to stop it apart from un-installing the version of msn you are using and re-install !

i av had a msn acount for ages and i opend a file that was sent to me but it infected me with something and i remover msn off my computer then re installed it i event created a new acount but the new acount was still infected and i know for a fact i didnt open anything on this one so my old acount and the new one are both also it has gone to my uncle and a few of my friends i would like get rid of this befor any more of my friends get it
this is causin lots of problems as i have to tell everyone to not open anythin off me i need this off my computer asap thanks x |
I am having the same problem and it varies from being a pic I want to use on myspace, my dream car or a pic I took of myself.
I have run the virus and spyware programs as well, and tried with a different sn. I got it from a friend when I thought I hit cancel to see the pic of his car but obviously accepted 1 of the 4, it was showing as a compress (zip) file. It keeps showing to everyone as soon as I logon and at times even if coming out of standby. HELP HELP HELP THANKS |
I had this problem. But then i fixed it. When i got the virus all i did was just do a system restore to the previous day. My msn and everything was working fine and everything was back to normal. I hope this helps :). |
I think I have solved the problem at the moment, but I do have 1 friend saying he is getting the message. I after running 7 programs the one that finally seemed to find it was avg. I told it to delete the file. When doing that msn no longer worked so I had to remove it and reinstall it. At times I have problems being able to log on but (other then the 1 person) the problem seems to be solved for now.

Download ans try this tool, MSNFix, on this link http://sosvirus.changelog.fr/MSNFix.zip Decompress it, and place the files in C: \ MSNFix (very important). Double click on the file MSNFix.bat. -- Run the option A. -- If the infection is detected, a message will indicate this and it will be enough to press a button to start the cleanup. I got the same thing on my msn i deleted my msn of my computer then downloaded another but it is still on there i cant get rid of it. someone please help me? |

May be AVG is not able to detect virus. Try doing an online virus scan using some other antivirus
