Comper starts notice no wininet dll fi

Hello,I HAVE A QUANTEX COMPUTER YEAR 2000 PENTIUM 111 PROCESSOR INTEL 810E CHIPSET
comper starts up finishes with desktop scene no imaches only a note saying cannot fined wininet dll
i cannot scan computer, how can i obtain wininet dll files on this computer to install instal on the faulty
computer

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

OK, try this. In "Safe Mode", see if you can get into the Command Prompt window. If necessary, use the Windows key + R combination to open the Run box and type CMD to open it. Then run this command:

expand c:\i386\wininet.dl_ c:\windows\system32\wininet.dll

Note: The 'compressed' version of the file in the i386 folder (letter "i" 386) has the extension .DL_
(DL underscore). This also assumes you have an i386 folder, which has the XP installation files, in your C drive which is not always the case.

If you do not have a i386 file you can copy the C:\windows\system32wininer.dll file from another computer to a flash drive and then use Safe Mode to move it to your PC.

Once you get the PC to start - I would run a complete Virus scan.
