Hello,
I recently got a new K9A Platinum MSI Motherboard. I got everything setup and put Windows XP SP 2 on the computer. After some difficulty it finally accepted the installation. I don't really know if this has relevance, but I put 4 gigs of ram, a 2.5ghz dual core AMD processor, and I have a 250 gig hard drive. I'm using a pretty crappy video card because I could not afford a new one yet.
But my question/complaint/statement that I require assistance on, is that I have a router, and I have the Ethernet cord connected to the router. So then I put the cord into the 10/100/1000 Ethernet spot on the motherboard, and it doesn't show anything that would assist in my findings for connecting to the internet. I've tried to force it by making a new connection, but that doesn't help at all. I've tried enabling all of the possible connections that I could find in the BIOS and it came up with a Network adapter, but that didn't prove to be of assistance.
I've been working on this all day, and I still can't connect to the internet. I was wondering if anyone knows a solution to this, because without the internet on the computer, I'm forced to use the internet of my family's computers to seek help.
Thank you.

Did You load ALL the motherboard drivers for the K9A Platinum?
Does the PC show a "network adapter" in "device Manager"?
