Hello everyone maybe I post in wrong session but I'm really in trouble. I got a problem while trying to access the internet webs. I mean certain webs like grisoft.com and avast.com
can't be accessed. It also interrupted my access while trying to downloading any files. The errors messages from mozilla firefox
is shown below;

The browser could not find the host server for the provided address.

* Did you make a mistake when typing the domain? (e.g. "ww.mozilla.org" instead of "www.mozilla.org")
* Are you certain this domain address exists? Its registration may have expired.
* Are you unable to browse other sites? Check your network connection and DNS server settings.
* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.

But others general webs like google.com and yahoo.com showed no problem for me to get in. It just like I need a license for avast.com
and grisoft.com to enter while others seem don't have to.

What should I do to fix it so I can access all webs normally. I'm a windows Xp Professional Service Pack 3 user.
comments would really help me.

Thank's for quick registration.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.6

I have the same problem here. Still trying to solve it and I assume that it's some kind of a worm (a very strong one) because of the blocking of especially the pages of anti-virus companies. If you have found out a solution post it here. If I will figure something out I'll put it here too.

Have the same problem. FF 3.5.2 (actually everything since 3.5) and IE 8.0 and Chrome (what is it, 2.0 now?), are all showing "can't find server", about 1/4th of the time. Popular sites are most impacted. Even when I try google.com. Something's up. I've disabled most of my addins except for Google Redesigned ... which only applies to FF. Any ideas ... anyone?

Same deal here. It seems every time Mozzilla comes out with a new update, they fix one problem and create another one. I love Firefox, but there is always something strange gone on with their browsers.

Hi, I am having the same problem and this problem seem to be effecting about three computers within my network, except for my laptop which is also running Mozilla Firefox. If anyone finds a solution please post a reply. The thing is that one of the effected computers does not have Mozilla Firefox installed. So I don't think this problem has to do with the installation Firefox.

I've had some improvement. Can't PROVE a relationship to this improvement, but since I started using OpenDNS, things have improved. Leads me to suspect my ISP may have been having trouble with its DNS server. Note: I added OpenDNS to my wireless router so all attached computers in my home network get the same solution.
