Hello,

can anyone help me to remove hard drive protection from an hp DV7-1150ev laptop hp??? i soposse this is my problem i can't downgrade to XP from vista home premium

Your problem most likely is that XP does not have native mode SATA (AHCI) hard drive drivers. Check the other posts on this site for more info. Unless you are a VERY experienced computer tech you will find it impossible to downgrade to XP. Good Luck

Hi man, thanx for replay.......

actualy i have do many things till now. reading many posts........ mu problem still same...... blue screen after "windows xp starting"

i'm not sure where is the problem, i download the drivers chipset from intel for this machine (intel(r) 4 chipset mobile) with sata drivers..........

the laptop have smart protection hard drive system.............
