Another HDMI no audio when hooking laptop to TV question

I have been searching this forum and have found tons of solutions but none work. I have an HP Pavilion DV6 laptop and a Sony Bravia TV. I have used my laptop and HDMI cord in 4 other TVs with no problem but with the Sony it will not work. I do not see a specific playback device listed as HDMI but I do see a device labeled Sony TV Intel (R) Display Audio and it is enabled and does show the sound bar moving. There is just no sound. I have updated all drivers and reconnected in the proper order. But nothing. I am really getting upset. Please help me.
