Hello,

I've had the superantispyware program for awhile now. Recently I ran it, but as soon as it found trouble my computer just turned off. I tried to rerun the virus/spyware scan maybe 2 or 3 times. Finally when I rebooted my computer I wasn't able to log on properly. The start menu shows up fine, but after I enter my password on my account I get nothing. All I see is my old desktop background, no start bar, no icons, no time, nothing. Other posts state that I can fix this by simply turning on the task manager, but that has been disabled by the administrator. I'm assuming a virus did that. I tried to do a repair with my Windows XP OS disk but that did nothing.

Can anybody help?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

I tried to start the task manager on my other non-admin account and it lets me. However, when I try to start the explorer.exe task, it tells me "windows cannot find 'explorer.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click search."
