Vista 64-bit and XP 32-bit dualboot

Hello,



I own a Vista computer and hence I am experiencing some compatibility issues with some applications (mostly games) and so I decided to create a dual boot with Vista and XP (that and I need to format my drive since my pc is acting funny). Right now I have Vista Ultimate 32-bit installed but I want a dual boot with Vista Ultimate 64-bit and XP 32-bit, is that possible?
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

run a triple boot on this machine (albeit on different partitions) that include, Kubuntu; XP Pro x32 & Vista Ultimate x64 ..... it can be done!

Why not shed some light on specific "compatibility" problems you are having with gaming - huh? Maybe we can help in that regard, although, XP has always edged out Vista at gaming, even though the performance gap is tight overall & it continues to shrink as Vista gets more adopted & increasingly fine tuned.

I bought a HP Pavilion dv2000. I have installed windows XP x32 with Windows Vista x64 but There is problem with Sound Card, Lan Card, Wireless Lan, Hibernate. So I can solve the problem. Please help me...

Imma try it out and I'll let you know how it works, although Imma set up a tri boot system with Ubuntu Linux and HP Quickplay installed on a partition as well. Give me 48 hours.

Hi,
There is a way for installing the dual boot in 1 system.
i.e fist of all see that in which drives you want to Install the OS and then first give the XP OS to the System and Install it in 'D' or 'E' Drive which ever is available. After installing the XP successfully then u go to the bios and setup the booting process from CD-Rom and install Vista32 bit or 64 bit in 'C' Drive and keep the booting OS selection Enabled in the bios setup.
Thers all your computer is ready to boot with Double OS.
**Note:* Install the OS from the Lower Version to Higher Version.**

Example: If you wanna keep 3 OS in your Computer which are Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP, Vista 32 bit.,
Then first install win - 2003 server, then XP and at last Vista from Lower to Higher.....

My question is how do you set up the drivers? Does a x64 driver on Vista 64 mess up the system when you go back to XP 32, or do drivers only show on those OS's they were loaded on?
