Hello, this is my husbands router, and Mr. Save everything didn't save his password anywhere but his head. And his head forgot. SO I'm trying to connect to his network and I've tried EVERYTHING to connect to it.

I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the program, won't do it. For some reason it seems that the router is the main source of Internet for the computer..so the program for the linksys won't run unless its connected to Internet, but it also won't run set up with the router connected, so I'm screwed.

Then I tried calling linksys and all they want to do is make me talk to a "senior support specialist" for $29.99. That's a bunch of bull to get a password reset.

Then I've done the reset button SEVERAL times and won't default the password.

Someone PLEASE help!

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

You said "I've done the reset button SEVERAL times ". I always use a bent heavy duty paper clip so that I know it penetrates into the routers guts. Keep it depressed for 30 seconds or more to insure it resets. Then unplug the router for 15 minutes as an added measure. Using a ball point pen for the reset may not depress the switch sufficiently. I just bought a new D-Link wireless router for $29. They are closing out G spec routers at good prices. Good Luck

Did you ever changed the default password before?
